Pole Labyrinth 1994
Mount Labyrinth (5
paths, permanent structure) Kindergarten Salzburg.
Materials:
700 wooden poles.
Diameter: 6.75 m.
My first labyrinth in a public place
Cylindrical
timber pickets are an ideal material for children. The play of light
on them also creates a dynamic rhythmn. The colors, moving through
the spectrum from red to orange and yellow in the centre, represent
the sun and the energy of life. The children can play hide-and-seek
here but the centre of this labyrinth with its five pathways also
offers a safe refuge.
